Why the AGM is important

The AGM is where South Herts CTC sets its stall for the year ahead - it's when our volunteers come into post and big decisions are made. As well as voting on motions, members will be given an update  on the past year as well as future plans, and will be able to ask questions about these and make suggestions. 

To cast your vote on motions you’ll need to join Cycling UK or already be a member. A quorum of 10 members is needed for voting.

Running the group

We keep admin to a minimum, but all Cycling UK groups like ours have a chairman, secretary and treasurer. Members are encouraged to help with running the club by volunteering to stand for these positions. We also need volunteers to deal with registrations, welfare, publicity and to lead our rides.

Voting

Only members of Cycling UK may vote in elections to the committee and on AGM motions. Please ensure you have your membership card, so that we can verify your membership.  Details of how to join Cycling UK can be found at https://www.cyclinguk.org/join 

Voting can only take place at the AGM – there is no system of proxy voting or voting by email.
